March Kick-Off Dinner: “A Winner!”

36 of our members braved the windstorms to attend the IAAC’s “Kick-Off the New Season” dinner Thursday evening at Kit’s Kitchen on Sunset in Henderson (next door to E-String).

Included in the picture, Nancy Cassaro, Andy LaRussa (IAAC Director of Athletics), Tom Sclafani, Sam Pizzo (39-year member of the IAC), Tom Hillary.  Not pictured Angelo Cassaro (president of the IAC), Edward & Colleen Bevilacqua, Sr., Dino Marino (IAAC Treasurer).

The family-style dinner consisted of a tossed garden medley salad, ravioli, steamed vegetables, penne pasta, and chicken.  A great, light fair meal.  The Wines, Pinot Grigio, and Chianti, were graciously hosted by Charter member and supporter Gaetano D’Aquino.

Members were also treated to their membership coin and a San Gennaro Souvenir coin sponsored by Bonanno NY Pizzeria’s.

Andy LaRussa (UNLV football coach) spoke of the IAAC’s mission, “Helping all Las Vegas youth play competitive sports”,  and the importance of competitive sports in developing character and preparing youth for the future.

The April meeting, and all subsequent meetings, will occur on the last Tuesday of each month from 6:00 to 7:30.  Members are encouraged to bring two new friends to each meal.  First time guests are awarded their membership coin.
